The Course of Evangelization
by John A. Sullivan III on 15-Jan-08 12:48

I am very comfortable with the Catholic Church's understanding of evangelization but sometimes it can work against us.  It is greatly to our credit that we understand evangelization as not stopping when we get people into Church but rather cont

Companionship and Liturgy - the Foundation of Evangelization
by John A. Sullivan III on 14-Jan-08 15:00

By the title of this blog, I do not mean that we must have engaging liturgy and friendly church communities to do effective evangelization.  Instead, I am speaking about the personal, spiritual life of evangelists.  I would go so far as to

Welcome to the Spiritual Outreach Works web site!

The goal of this site is to help YOU work within your Catholic parish, diocese or community to spread the good news of God and the fullness of the faith to as many as possible.  It strives to be highly practical and thorough.  You will find plan templates, working documents as well as conceptual, background and management material for various parochial and diocesan outreach programs specifically targeted to different audiences.

It is a foundational belief of this site that a "one size fits all" approach to evangelization is suboptimal.  People do not so much gather in community "in the city gates" as they used to as much as they gather individually in front of their computer screens, TVs, radios or ipods.  We can offer God's gift much more effectively if we reach out in a targeted way just like profit-oriented marketers do.

Oh no! Not another evangelization site!!!

If you are wondering if this site is worth your time or how it might be different from and thus complement other sites, please click on the SOW Perspective link on the About menu.

So where do I start?

That depends on who you are and what you need.
